Course summary

On this industry-focused course with an additional foundation year, you will be set live project briefs and have the chance to undertake work-based learning opportunities with leading and emerging fashion brands. While this course is academic and theory based, you will also develop your creative thinking and learn to confidentially express your ideas both verbally and visually. The course is structured to enable you to gradually build your business skills and confidence. You will gain core business and management knowledge and learn to understand financial statements, process information and produce meaningful solutions to your creative briefs. A range of field trips will help you to gain a better understanding of key aspects of fashion business operations. You will develop both the hard and soft skills valued by employers by studying in a co-creative environment and working collaboratively with students across related courses. The accumulation of learning will enable you to produce a final business and management implementation project in your final year.

Modules

You'll explore operations and management, business finance, how strategy is incorporated into management, critically evaluating global business practice, identifying solutions to business problems, responsible business practice and career coaching. Assessment method

You will be continually assessed throughout the course using a variety of methods including but not exclusively: pitches/presntations, oral assessments, pratical assignments, reflective written documents, marketing, business and industry-focused reports. Each module has a Formative and a Summative assessment point, where feedback and advice are provided to develop and complete projects and a final grade is awarded.
