Overview At UEA, we believe everyone should have the chance to study at degree level. You might not yet have the required grades. You may need a little extra support. You may need time to decide where your interests lie. If so, then our BA Global Communication with Business Management with a Foundation Year is the perfect choice. Our foundation year is an intensive and exciting year of interdisciplinary study. You’ll explore a range of interrelated academic humanities subjects. And you’ll develop a unique toolkit of essential study, language, and communication skills. UEA’s Interdisciplinary Institute for the Humanities provides a supportive and rewarding learning environment. We’ll encourage you to identify and work towards your own individual learning goals. You'll have the opportunity to study a new language alongside a range of academic subjects, including Literature, History, Philosophy, Film, and Politics. Through studying topics, such as power, culture and media, we’ll help you make connections with your interest in global communication studies, sparking your curiosity. During your foundation year, you’ll have access to all the opportunities and resources that UEA has to offer. You could learn about the language and values of another country to hone your intercultural communication. Or you could make the most of our on-campus media facilities. As you develop your own academic interests and passions, you’ll then be well-placed to progress onto the degree that’s the best fit for you. After successfully completing your foundation year, you’ll move straight onto BA Global Communications with Business Management degree. Alternatively, you can request to transfer onto one of a selection of other undergraduate courses within the Faculty of Arts and Humanities, subject to taking the required prerequisite modules.
