This Foundation Degree is designed to build on your previous studies. You will continue to learn and deepen your theoretical knowledge about management in the healthcare sector and how you can adapt your behaviours to support your professional career in a managerial/senior position.

In year 1, you will study: • Healthcare Management • Security and Communication in Healthcare • Introduction to Healthcare Budgeting • Illness and Co-morbidities- Health inequalities in the UK • Developing Academic and Professional Practice • Research Methods In year 2, you will study: • Geography of health • Healthcare and the law • Finance and Accounting in healthcare • Research project • Human resource management • Quality assurance and improvement in healthcare • Psychology for health management
Assessment method
Most assessment is by a mixture of written assignments, practical work, presentations and online tests. There are no formal examinations at Level 4 but two modules at Level 5 contain 90-minute written examinations.
