Start Date - Tuesday 13th January 2026 Year 1 Timetable Tuesdays - 3pm-9.30pm Wednesdays - 3pm-5pm (Online delivery, with occasional face to face sessions) Thursdays - 3pm-9.30pm The HND Leadership and Management programme, which is also a Higher Technical Qualification (HTQ) will equip students with essential knowledge, skills, and attributes for effective leadership and management. Students will gain a strong foundation in strategic management and organisational behaviour along with practical skills in communication, problem-solving and project management. Emphasising ethical leadership and adaptability, the course encourages critical thinking, teamwork, and resilience, preparing students for leadership roles in diverse industries. The content of this qualification has been developed in consultation with employers and professional bodies. This ensures that content is appropriate and consistent in developing students’ leadership and management skills, knowledge and understanding to achieve high performance in the business environment. You will combine lectures, case studies, project work, simulations, group work and independent research. Many assessments are based on business scenarios or project briefs, enabling you to apply theory to practice.

Assessment method
HND assessment is awarded on a Pass, Merit and Distinction method and will be primarily through assignments. These will follow internal briefs aligned to unit learning outcomes and assessment criteria.
