The MSc Adult Nursing at Canterbury Christ Church University is an innovative two-year postgraduate programme designed to develop the advanced knowledge, clinical expertise, and behaviours needed to excel in modern nursing practice. Professional accreditation Our MSc Nursing courses are accredited by the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC). On completion of the course, you will be eligible to register with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) as a Registered Adult Nurse. Assessment method

We use a variety of assessments so that you can showcase your full range of academic skills including multiple choice exam, written assignment, portfolio, case studies, group presentation and dissertation.


Entry requirements

For the MSc Nursing you will hold a Bachelor's degree with Honours at a 2:1 in any subject or a 2:2 in a health related subject, such as Biological Sciences, Psychology or Public Health. You must also hold maths and English GCSE grade 4-9 (A-C) or Functional Skills Level 2 or equivalent. Prior to beginning the course you will need to have undertaken 750 hours of practice experience. You will then need to submit a Recognition of Prior Experiential Learning (RPEL) application portfolio of evidence that documents these 750 hours and includes a CV, record of application for Disclosure Barring Scheme (DBS) and occupational health clearance and a supporting statement reflecting how these experiences have prepared you to undertake the MSc Nursing. You will be supported in preparing this portfolio by a member of the MSc programme team. This portfolio will be assessed using a predefined criteria and once successfully completed you will be offered a firm place on the programme.

Additional fee information

Home (UK) Fees The Government has announced that it will increase the tuition fee cap by 3.1%, in line with inflation, for the 2025/26 academic cycle. Subject to parliamentary approval, the University intends to increase our tuition fees in line with this and as per our terms and conditions. This means that from September 2025 our undergraduate home tuition fees are expected to be £9,535. International Tuition Fees (including EU fees) Undergraduate tuition fees for International students are not subject to the Government’s regulations on maximum tuition fees. The University’s 2025/26 Overseas tuition fees for international students, and information about any mid-course increases, will be published on each course webpage.
