Course summary

Our Marketing BA course will provide you with an in-depth understanding of all areas of contemporary marketing and how that fits into the wider business function and society. You’ll learn how to select and apply appropriate methods and techniques to develop marketing solutions to challenges faced by some of the biggest companies in the world. You will study emerging trends and gain real-world experiences through our partnerships with award winning digital marketing agencies giving you the opportunity to develop the necessary skills and attributes to succeed in a professional marketing position. You can also expect to develop knowledge of the range of marketing disciplines, the relationships between them and their application to practice. For instance, you’ll apply knowledge of customers, markets, brands, market research and marketing strategy to propose, justify and implement effective marketing solutions. Which ultimately will enhance your skills, knowledge and behaviours to help you contribute to the development of a just, peaceful and sustainable world. This course is accredited and recognised by the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) graduate gateway programme. Assessment method

We want to ensure you have the best learning experience possible and a supportive and nurturing learning community. That’s why we’re introducing a new block model for delivering the majority of our courses, known as Education 2030. This means a more simplified timetable where you will study one subject at a time instead of several at once. You will have more time to engage with your learning and get to know the teaching team and course mates. You will receive faster feedback through more regular assessment, and have a better study-life balance to enjoy other important aspects of university life. Over the whole programme, there is a varied mix of assessment including: group presentations, case study analysis, individual exercises, report writing, short form unseen exercises and essay writing.
