Course summary

Developed in consultation with industry experts, this course will train you to become a leader in international fashion marketing. You'll gain a grounding in marketing theory and practice (learning to be innovative, ethical and adaptable) and apply your knowledge to the global marketplace – growing your understanding of the industry’s processes, from trend forecasting to distribution. Working from live briefs with real clients, you'll develop fashion marketing strategies, explore sources of disruption and innovation and learn how to monopolise opportunities that changes present, while building your leadership skills and your ability to think creatively and analytically. Studying in the city, you'll have plenty of opportunities to visit influential fashion houses and agencies – working on live briefs and devising strategies for fashion shows, events, campaigns and photoshoots, while building a network of contacts and creating your own professional portfolio. To expand your understanding further, you'll have opportunities to study abroad in a European fashion capital; collaborate with brands, designers and magazine editors; and attend workshops and masterclasses with leading industry players, who each offer an unparalleled perspective on the fashion industry. Recently, students have heard from: Alejandra Caro, Marketing Director at Harrods Andrew Maag, Former CEO at dunhill Deborah Bee, Formerly at Vogue and Marketing Head at Harrods Sophia Lai – Creative Director of In Bed With You In your final term, you’ll complete a consultancy project – applying your knowledge and conceptual awareness to a fashion marketing research project. Graduate with the knowledge and creative skills to build and implement international marketing strategies. Many of our graduates launch successful careers, working across the world for fashion brands including AllSaints, Burberry, Ralph Lauren, Jaeger, Saks and Vivienne Westwood.

Assessment method

The programme draws on a wide range of assessment types to reflect the nature of the industry and to give you an adequate opportunity to successfully demonstrate achievement on the programme according to your preferred style of learning. This includes academic essays, research activities, reports, presentations, reflective reports, panel critiques, interviews, group work, material outcomes and live projects. Alternative assessments are provided where possible for students with a registered disability. You will also engage in self-assessment and peer assessment.

Entry requirements

We're interested in your potential, as well as your prior achievements – and review each application comprehensively on its own merit. Minimum entry requirements for Level 7 – you'll need one of the following qualifications: - Minimum second class UK undergraduate degree - Equivalent international qualifications, as deemed acceptable by Regent's We also welcome applications from students who don't meet our entry requirements. In order to be accepted for exceptional entry, you must: - Have one year of work experience (if you hold a degree lower than a 2:2) - Have three years of work experience (if you don't hold a degree) - Provide a 500-700 word personal statement outlining your reasons for applying, and how your previous experience is of relevance to the programme you are applying for - Be prepared to attend an interview with the Postgraduate Admissions Panel - Provide evidence of your English language proficiency This will be assessed on a case-by-case basis by academic referral only.
