This course allows you to learn complex skills that are in high demand. Using our virtual learning platform – which has been specially developed to teach laparoscopic surgery and bowel anastomosis – you’ll be able to tailor your learning to build your confidence and master essential surgical skills. You’ll receive a ‘take-home’ simulator, instruments, sutures, practice jigs and a virtual reality headset so you can gain regular hands-on practice at home. As well as these key practical skills, you’ll develop a clear understanding of the research process, including critical appraisal and how to present work for publication. To complete the programme, you’ll be expected to have internet access, a smartphone to use our virtual reality applications and a webcam.
