Our programme draws on our research excellence and our focus on transferable skills means a psychology degree from Liverpool will be suitable for a wide range of career choices. The degree is accredited by the British Psychological Society and provides Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership, making it an excellent platform for postgraduate study. We have a 3 stage curriculum: Year 1 is based on the BPS core subject areas, Year 2 is based on the research themes of Psychology at Liverpool and in Year 3 you will have the option to choose modules from our research specialisms. This will enable you to develop specialist knowledge in a range of subject areas (eg clinical, forensic etc). Entry to the undergraduate degree programme is available to applicants with a wide array of qualifications and backgrounds. Outstanding applicants may be offered conditional places on linked postgraduate courses provided by the University of Liverpool allowing our graduates to further enhance their career prospects. This programme is accredited against the requirements for the Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership (GBC) of the British Psychological Society (BPS). This programme is available with either a Year in China or a Year Abroad. The Year in China offers undergraduate students the opportunity to spend one year at our joint venture, Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU), following XJTLU's BA China Studies degree classes. XJTLU is a fully English-speaking university, located in Suzhou. The Year Abroad offers students the opportunity to spend a full academic year studying at one of our partner universities around the world, following a mixture of culture and/or discipline-related modules. If you wish to study this programme with a Year in China or a Year Abroad you will have the opportunity to apply after you arrive at Liverpool.

Tuition fees for Home undergraduates If this is your first degree and you are a Home student applying for entry in 2024, you do not have to pay your fees upfront. Instead, you can take out a tuition fee loan which is paid straight to the University. This is available to most students, no matter what their household income. For UK students applying for 2024 entry the Tuition Fees are £9,250. Check tuition fees for our undergraduate degrees.
