Course summary

Combining History with French will provide you with a truly unique understanding of the history and cultures of European and North American countries from the Middle Ages to the present. By the time you graduate, you will be able to communicate fluently and competently with French speakers. The study of a modern language can be the key to the global workplace.   • Helps you become proficient in French, reaching level C1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.

Modules

This degree has three stages, each comprising 120 credits. In Stage 1 you'll study a 60-credit history module and two 30-credit language modules. Next, in Stage 2, you’ll study a 60-credit history module and a 60-credit module in French. Finally, in Stage 3, you’ll study a 60-credit history module from a choice of two options and a further 60-credit module in French.
