Mechanical Design Engineering: This programme is rooted in the mainstream mechanical engineering discipline but places greater emphasis on the interplay between design and manufacturing, which is explored through individual and group projects. You will complete an extensive design project, which will allow you to integrate the various design skills and understand the business and social context within which design takes place. Year 5 of the MEng includes the final-year industrial project, and provides additional management skills and in-depth options of engineering subjects including mechanics of solids, dynamics and desalination technology.
