INTRODUCTION Welcome to BA (Hons) International Esports Business & Events Management (with Foundation Year) at the College of Esports. This course prepares students for tertiary study and develops their understanding of the Esports industry, exploring topics such as events management, marketing, sponsorship, finance, and global trends. Teaching modules are bolstered by the unique CoEs TRI-Curriculum approach, which enhances your social capital through the development of your talent, resilience, and identity in preparation for the exciting and international world of Esports. WHY STUDY THIS COURSE? The Foundation Year/Level 3 provides a strong academic and practical base, ensuring you are fully prepared to thrive in your undergraduate degree. Whether you are transitioning from a different field, returning to education, or looking to enhance your skills, the Foundation Year offers structured support in academic writing, research, and interpersonal skills. You will develop essential problem-solving, teamwork, and communication skills that are vital for success in higher education and a future professional career. From Year 1/Level 4 onwards, this course provides a unique pathway for students to develop expertise in the strategic, operational, and managerial aspects of esports events and business. Whether you aspire to manage large-scale esports tournaments, develop esports brands, or create innovative digital marketing strategies, this course prepares you for the fast-evolving esports ecosystem. Students will gain: A deep understanding of the global esports industry, including business models, tournament operations, and revenue generation. Hands-on experience through real-world projects and event planning, preparing you for career opportunities in esports management, sponsorship, and marketing. A strong foundation in governance, regulation, and ethical considerations impacting esports organizations. As students’ progress through each level, they will refine their skills with hands-on projects, live event planning, and industry collaborations, preparing them for leadership roles in sectors including but not limited to Esports Events Management, Production & Broadcasting, Sponsorship & Partnership Management, Tournament Operations & Logistics, Business Development, Venue & Live Event Operations, Marketing & Fan Engagement. THE AIMS OF THIS COURSE:
- Develop business, marketing, and event management expertise specific to the esports industry. Provide hands-on experience in planning, executing, and evaluating esports events at various scales.
- Build strategic thinking, leadership, and financial planning skills for esports organisations. Ensure students understand governance, sponsorship, and legal considerations within esports.
- Prepare students for careers in event management, business strategy, marketing, sponsorship, and operations within the global esports industry.
