A distinctive requirement of this degree programme is that students must have achieved the standards of the Operations or Departmental manager apprenticeship (Level 5), including passing the diploma in leadership and management. The BA (Hons) Business and Management Practice has been mapped against those modules and credit is awarded for the knowledge, skills and understanding already demonstrated. The degree programme offers a distinctive active learning approach. Learning involves a range of approaches from seminars, workshops, and discussions to case study analysis and problem-solving activities. The curriculum is informed by rigorous academic thinking and practical insight offered through engagement with employers. The distinctive learning approach of this degree programme is enquiry-based learning, in which business issues and problems are explored in realistic contexts, allowing theory to be examined through interesting and challenging work-based scenarios. These provide students with the opportunity to immediately test and contribute to learning.
