Take your first steps onto the management ladder with this dynamic programme. You will develop knowledge and understanding of organisations, their management and the business environment in which they operate. The course content emphasises the constantly evolving nature of business taking into consideration the changing future of the global business environment. Links through the College’s International Office will allow you to apply for opportunities to study abroad and attend international trade events as part of your course. Through work with the Institute of Enterprise and Entrepreneurs (IOEE), you can receive a dual certificate, based on the work submitted for the module on Innovation and Enterprise. What’s next? You could use the skills you have gained to progress your existing career or as a stepping stone to a role in banking and the financial sectors, human resource management, marketing or consultancy. By moving on to the BA (Hons) Management (top-up) degree at New College Durham you could achieve a full honours degree.

•3 GCSE passes at Grade C or above, including Maths and English or equivalent • Level 3 Accredited Business Qualification • An Access to Higher Education course (which includes a business related programme) • Students studying the part time provision must be in suitable relevant full time employment. • IELTS score of 5.5 Students with non-standard qualifications are welcome to apply. This includes students with qualifications in non-business management-related areas at level 3 and those students without level 3 qualifications but with employer references that can support an application with any relevant working experience. Students will be asked to attend an interview to determine suitability for the programme.
