Course summary

Develop the expertise to help people manage pain and dysfunction. On successful completion of this course, you’ll be eligible to apply to become a qualified physiotherapist. As part of this course you’ll:

  • Learn to help people of all ages to manage pain and dysfunction
  • Study the core areas of neuromusculoskeletal, cardiorespiratory and neurological physiotherapy
  • Practise thinking independently and problem solving in a clinical capacity
  • Gain comprehensive hands-on experience through diverse clinical practice placements
  • Complete a minimum of 1,000 hours of supervised clinical placement experience that could include the NHS, sports clubs, schools and private clinics
Professional regulation This course is accredited by the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy and approved by the Health & Care Professions Council and will provide you with the necessary expertise and skills to become a qualified physiotherapist. Entry requirements

2.1 Honours degree in a biological or behavioural science, sports science or a health related profession; or equivalent; 1st degree must include a research training component; completed undergraduate research study; appropriate work experience/shadowing; pass medical screening; an enhanced Disclosure and Disbarment check; all applicants whose 1st language is not English require IELTS level 7 with no component below 6.5.
