This online Masters in Public Health will give you experience in a research intensive environment with strong links to public health practice. Through our research, the University of Glasgow has been at the forefront of major public health interventions such as Scotland's smoking ban and alcohol misuse strategy. In addition to our academic expertise, you'll benefit from input from local authorities, volunteer organisations, the private sector and the University's contractual connections with NHS Scotland. Taking a multidisciplinary approach, this online Masters in Public Health is taught by staff from a number of areas. Current disciplines represented include health promotion, health protection, sociology, psychology, epidemiology, statistics, and health economics. This Masters in Public Health equips you with an in-depth theoretical and practical understanding of public health principles and practice as well as epidemiology, health protection and health promotion. You will graduate with a skill set meaning that you can make an informed and significant difference to whatever public health environment you find yourself working in. Throughout each course you will be assessed in a variety of ways which could include essays, discussions, blogs, online presentations, interactive quizzes, assignments or group work.
