Course summary

An IT Management for Business (ITMB) programme, which combines the expertise of computer science and business academics, with the needs of industry. Why study this course? Developed in conjuction with TechSkills, to incorporate the needs of employers in tech and digital. Build the business, technology, interpersonal and project management skills sought by employers. This course meets the academic requirements for registration as a Chartered IT Professional. What you'll study You’ll develop theoretical understanding and gain hands-on experience in programming, software, web technologies and information systems. Alongside this, you’ll be taught the vital skills for success in business, such as management, marketing and accounting. Industry involvement is fundamental to this programme. As a Tech Industry Gold learner, you'll become part of a community with regular access to employers, through industry-supported events, talks, competitions, awards and more. Assessment method

Assessment typically includes a combination of coursework (presentations, assignments, essay report writing, in-class tests, research and project work) and/or examinations in May or June. Individual and group projects are assessed through a written report, practical demonstration and oral examination.
