Our FdA Health & Social Care Practitioner course taught at Grantham College is designed for you if you are working in a role that focuses on the care, well-being, development and support of individuals, families and wider communities. If you have an interest in working with adults in a care or residential setting and want to develop to a higher level to develop your career opportunities or progression to an undergraduate degree the Foundation Degree in Health & Social Care will equip you with the knowledge, understanding and practical skills to enable you to meet your personal and professional aspirations. Entry requirements
Qualification requirements
A minimum of one year’s practical experience in an employed or voluntary capacity with a written statement of support from the head teacher/manager. Candidates should ideally hold a Diploma, NVQ or Access to HE qualification and a minimum of a Level 2 in English and maths although other qualifications will be considered and enthusiasm and experience are essential. Candidates should also hold or be willing to apply for a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) certificate. Applicants must have access to a voluntary or paid role in a relevant setting for at least 12 hours a week throughout the course and have written support from the setting.
