Course summary

Embark on your nursing career as you study on our innovative and research-based BSc (Hons) Adult Nursing degree at Canterbury Christ Church University. Not only will you gain the vital skills needed for you to become a confident and competent nursing professional, but you’ll also be able to register with the NMC (Nursing and Midwifery Council) upon graduation. Your course will start with exploring the role of adult nursing in contemporary healthcare and the fundamentals of compassionate person-centred nursing practice. The Foundation Year prepares you for further studies in health and social care. Location This course is runs at our Canterbury and Medway Campuses in Kent. Canterbury Canterbury is just 50 miles south-east of London and less than an hour by high-speed train from St Pancras. Located on a UNESCO World Heritage Site the campus offers state-of-the-art buildings, right in the centre of a vibrant and world-famous cathedral city. You’ll benefit from a campus with excellent learning and teaching resources, music venues, a superb sports centre, a well-stocked bookshop and plenty of coffee bars and places to eat. A short walk away is Augustine House our award-winning library and home to a vast range of learning resources and student support teams. Medway Our Medway Campus is located near to The Historic Dockyard Chatham in Kent. Rochester is also close by with its beautiful cathedral and buzzing high street. The campus has a unique atmosphere, with its long-standing reputation for excellence in Health and Social Care, Education and the Early Years. Nearby is a student-friendly quarter with a multiplex cinema, a shopping centre and a fully equipped sports centre. The campus is part of Universities at Medway, which is made up of three universities: CCCU, the University of Kent and the University of Greenwich, so you’ll be part of a vibrant student campus with plenty of facilities.
