Course summary
The aim of this qualification is to provide learners with a depth and breadth of knowledge and understanding of people practice and management in order to lead at a strategic and operational level in their organisations. It is suitable for individuals in a people practice or management role who wish to shape people practice and create value for their organisations.

Part I (PG Dip & MA) • Advanced Application of Employment Law (15 credits; component pass) • Driving Change and Building Business Cases (15 credits; component pass) • Driving Performance (15 credits; component pass) • Driving your Development (15 credits; component pass) • Resourcing and Talent Management (15 credits; component pass) • Shaping Cultures and Behaviours (15 credits; component pass) • Supporting Learning (15 credits; component pass) • Understanding the Business Context (15 credits; component pass). Part II (MA) • Research Dissertation (60 credits; compulsory).
Entry requirements
Applicants should normally hold one or more of the following: An honours degree or postgraduate qualification eg. BA, MSc A relevant professional qualification Eg. CIPD Intermediate qualification, ILM, CIM Applicants who do not meet the above criteria may be admitted to the course provided their professional or managerial experience is deemed to be appropriate. Holders of CIPD Postgraduate qualifications may be offered exemption from part one of the programme, enabling them to ‘top up’ to a Master’s degree in a shorter time than the full MA programme.
