Course summary

The MSc in Engineering Management offers a comprehensive curriculum designed to equip you with the knowledge and skills needed to excel in today's complex engineering environments. Through a blend of theoretical coursework and practical applications, you’ll explore key topics such as engineering project management, supply chain management, and lean engineering principles. As well as this you’ll learn how to effectively plan, execute, and monitor engineering projects while optimizing resources and minimizing waste. You’ll investigate advanced manufacturing techniques and gain insights into sustainable practices and ethical considerations within the engineering industry, preparing you to be able to address pressing global challenges while upholding principles of environmental stewardship and social responsibility. Through industry driven projects, and collaborations, you'll dive deep into the practical side of engineering management. You’ll gain hands-on experience through case studies, simulations, and real-world projects, allowing you to apply theoretical knowledge to practical scenarios commonly encountered in the workplace. During your time studying with us you’ll also delve into essential concepts in operations management, automation, and robotics, providing students with a deep understanding of how to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and leverage emerging technologies to drive innovation. Quality engineering and process improvement techniques are also emphasized, enabling you to identify and address inefficiencies, enhance product quality, and ensure continuous improvement within engineering systems. The School of Engineering and the Built Environment at BNU has a growing network of engineering industries. Entry requirements

An appropriate engineering or science undergraduate degree (2:2 or above) or an equivalent professional qualification or significant industrial and professional experience. If English is not your first language, you will also need an IELTS score of 6.5 overall or equivalent.

Buckinghamshire New University tuition fees cover the cost of instruction, assessment, and core academic materials. Sponsorship information

There are several ways you can fund your studies, including sponsorship and student loans. You may be able to use ELCAS credits for some of our courses. We also have scholarships and bursaries to help support our students, and if you’re a recent BNU graduate, you may even qualify for a fee discount on your postgraduate studies.
