Course summary

This course gives students the skills and insight needed for a successful career in marketing, as well as the qualifications to lift them above other candidates in the job market. This course gives students a good academic grounding in the subject as well as developing their knowledge, experience and skills. It also develops their problem-solving abilities and gives extensive opportunities for further personal development. The course helps students develop a comprehensive grounding in: planning, strategy development and implementation, analysis of customers, markets and industry, marketing communications, research, investigations and data analysis. This course is ideal for those who are at the start of their marketing career.

Modules

Compulsory modules; contemporary marketing practice; strategic marketing planning marketing analytics; principles of marketing communications; research methods for marketing; global marketing; dissertation research methods.

Assessment method

Assessment is through supervised mini-projects, presentations, time-constrained assignments and examinations.


Entry requirements

Applicants need an honours degree of 2:2 or above in any subject. Applicants whose 1st language is not English are required to meet the UK Border Agency and Universities minimum English language requirements, such as the International English Language Test (IELTS) 6.5 overall with a minimum of 5.5 in all components.
