Our BSc (Hons) Business Management with Foundation Year programme has been designed to develop your leadership and management skills, preparing you for a successful career in business. Modules

Your Foundation Year will set the stage for success in higher-level study. You'll study introductory modules in business, accounting and digital skills, with a strong focus on academic development, communication and employability. In your first year, you’ll gain a broad understanding of how organisations work, covering topics like business operations, digital skills, economics and legal frameworks. Learning is hands-on, with simulations and collaborative projects that build confidence and teamwork. Your second year focuses on deeper business theories and transferable skills. You’ll study project management, financial markets and business intelligence, with optional modules allowing you to specialise in areas like marketing, accounting or entrepreneurship. You'll have the opportunity to take a paid placement in industry or study abroad to gain real-world experience and boost your employability. By your final year, you’ll refine your strategic and leadership skills through advanced modules in innovation, sustainability and strategic management. Assessment method

We use different forms of assessment in different modules and wherever possible these will reflect the types of work you will do in the ‘real world’ for example, report writing, presentations and business pitches. Exams will only be used when it is a requirement for professional accreditation.
