About This Course Want a career in business management? Interested in the way people behave at work? Or how they can be managed effectively? If so, this degree is for you. You will get the chance to study a wide range of topics about business, as well as specifically zooming into the exciting realm of human resource management. You will learn about the latest knowledge and research, and will gain the skills necessary to perform well in management roles. To this end, you will also get the chance to experience managing a ‘live’ human resources project. Overview Prepare for a career getting the best out of people with a degree in business and human resource management. This degree, offered by Norwich Business School (NBS), in the Social Sciences Faculty at UEA, will prepare you to work within businesses – in general management, consultancy, and the human resource function. The course is designed to allow flexibility in what you study, while providing a clear focus on the realm of people management. People are often claimed to be a key source of competitive advantage in business, and through this course you will discover why this is the case and how people can transform organisations. You’ll also develop the skills necessary to manage people effectively in organisations, and get the chance to work socially with others on your course. At UEA we focus on evidence-based management. You’ll learn to pose questions and challenge assumptions, as well as how to use evidence to make your own decisions and back them up.
